| The
tagline of ProposalCafe.com
reads “Have a winning day at the Proposal Cafe!” And based on what
I’ve seen, I think this web site is a winner for those seeking to
develop successful proposals.
ProposalCafe.com was launched last year by two experienced proposal development consultants: Chuck Keller (President) and Bill Andre (Vice President and webmaster). It’s a portal for resources, news, training, employment/employee leads, videos, articles, and on-line dialogue helpful to those who develop commercial, government, and grant proposals. It also provides access to an on-line store for purchasing proposal/business development books. Chuck reports that the intended audience for ProposalCafe.com includes the following:
According to Bill, ProposalCafe.com currently has over 450 registered members and gets nearly 15,000 visits per month. It costs nothing to browse ProposalCafe.com, although to access some portions of the web site requires you to register and log in as a member. Membership is free. Businesses face a nominal fee to post job openings in the Jobs Available section. However, those looking for proposal work may post their services, experience, and location free-of-charge in the Jobs Sought section. At the time of this review, this section lists about 75 consultants/ jobs-seekers. If you’re looking for permanent or temporary proposal help, check out this list! I think you will find the Resource Links and Information sections particularly useful. The Resource Links section provides links to a variety of proposal resources, including those for proposal services, training, and software. The Information section includes informative articles (and links to articles), youtube.com videos, news feed articles, and an event calendar. As I looked around ProposalCafe.com, I was surprised that more people haven’t taken advantage of the Conversation Forum. This is a section in which members can ask questions about any aspect of proposal development and get answers from other proposal professionals. So far, there have been very few questions posted to the forum, but I suspect this will increase once word gets out about this valuable resource. I recommend that you check out ProposalCafe.com before you work on your next proposal. For full access to the web site resources, register as a member. Registration is free and easy to do. Direct inquiries about ProposalCafe.com to Chuck (chuck@proposalcafe.com) or Bill (bill@proposalcafe.com). I've found both to be easy to engage and eager to discuss relevant topics. |
