Quick Tip

Rather than hard-coding a prospect's company name into any of your RFP responses, you should insert the  %%PROJECT_PROSPECT%% tag into your responses.  Then by connecting to an RFP project in the Project Tracking module, any response you view will be personalized with that prospect's company name.

RFPMonkey.com doesn't include a built-in spell checker, but that doesn't mean you can't check spelling within the application.

You may not be aware of it, but if you use either of the 2 most popular web browsers you can spell check data entry forms within any web page or web application.  It only takes a few minutes to get set up.  Then you can not only spell check your RFPMonkey.com questions, answers, comments, and project assignments, but also your web email, your SalesForce.com entries, or any other web form.

Internet Explorer

ieSpell is an Internet Explorer plug-in that adds a good spell checker to your IE toolbar.  Once installed, you can spell check any web page's entry fields (including RFPMonkey.com) by clicking on the ieSpell icon.

The ieSpell tool locates misspelled words, highlights them within the entry fields, and offers you options to replace, ignore or add the word to your personal dictionary.  The most recent version also has a 'Look up meaning' feature that links each replacement choice to the on-line dictionary of your choice.

FireFox

The very popular browser, Mozilla Firefox, has a built-in spell checking feature.  If you're using Firefox 2, all you have to do is right-click on an entry field (including the entry editor within RFPMonkey.com) and click Spell check this field.

Right clicking on any identified problem words causes a small pop up to appear that contains suggestions and the option to add the highlighted word to your personal dictionary.

Some users find the Firefox spell checker to be slightly lacking in a couple areas.  The following blog entry is useful if you are fairly technical and want to maximize your use of its built-in spell checker.    More Info...
